Welp, no calls on the job front. For a company that "needs to make a decision really soon" and used those exact words to haul me up three times for interviews, they're dragging their arses harder than a dog with worms and impacted anal glands. Feh

Still no skin off my nose. My plan was if no calls today, then back to hitting the applications. Fuck 'em.

Given that this is the last pay to frip with, I made the trek up to the wholesale pet foot store and stocked up on treats (Food is a necessity. treats like these? not so much. Especially when they go nuts for raw fusilli and peas) grabbed a couple of bags of puffs to supplement the spares we have, and got a shitload of yoghurt drops. Two 250g jars of each flavour - plain yoghurt, strawberry, apricot, and one of a new one - banana. Not sure if they'd like it, so only bought the one, but Paggles and Muse give it the paws up :) And I saw on special a great little "pooch nest" (eg: one of those yuppie mutt indoor soft kennel things) that Paggles will love and will hopefully spare her giving us an embarrassed look from the growing stain on the bed. Also nabbed some more chocolate buds and a proper container for their cheerios.

spoiled ratties!

Hit Safeway and picked up the usual faffles we don't have delivered - bread, veggies, etc, and grabbed some chook breasts for chicken pasta. All made up and ready to be baked and the smell in the kitchen is driving me *batshit*. Oh this is going to be delicious. DELICIOUS! To distract myself, I fucked about with the Cisco, finally got off my arse and repaired a foofertube with a hatch, hemmed a pair of pants I've turned into cut-off shorts, fixed some hooks on the climbing rig and generally did all those little niggling things about the house.

...delicious...

[livejournal.com profile] torasin is bringing home a copy of office 2007 for me to familiarise myself with, and some ground cinnamon for ant deterring purposes and if it's a quiet night at work I think I'll have a good fuck about with Fred and determine once and for all if her PSU took the mobo with it when it went. Also want to see if I can find a graph paper emulator for a tablet PC so I can do my blueprints (chiefly do a proper one for a new desk I've designed)

Anyone recommend a good one? Not a graph paper template - a program or template that has 1mm squares on it (graphing paper) that you can draw over with a tablet pen. I know CADD software or even Photoshop or Micrografix can do it, but surely there has to be a similar software out there - I can't be the only one who's ever thought of it. (If so, MY IDEA, MINE! MINE MINE!!)

Hope I get some good offers going so I can segue seamlessly from one to the next. I want that aircon, dammit. And we may even have enough to eke out for a new couch...
