In other news... Replacement 200gb SATA HDD or a gig of paired DDR? I can put the DDR in m00f, and then move the existing RAM to Fred or Enigma, but the HDD will come in handy....

She runs fast already - like shit off the proverbial shovel. From POST to desktop in about 10 seconds (five if I turn off HDD detection) andboots photoshop in about three seconds. She's really only complaining about the fact I took a dodgy stick out of her and dropped her down to 512mb when mvidding...Which chews up HD space like a cow and a half.

Which is why i want the paired - the mobo can run them striped and it would just make her even more insanely fast. *maniacal cackling*

Ahhhh, well if she's a fast baby already, then maybe the HDD is the way to go after all. :)

I'm on 1024 in my machine but I want more! More, I tells thee! Athlon XP3000+ and it's pretty damn fast, but it never hurts to have more :)

At one stage I would have been able to filch computer bits off the other half's dad, 'cause they replace all the tech once every two years where he works and just throw the old stuff away (which would then go in the boot of said other half's dad's car)... But now they're actually destroying it... what a waste! :(

ugh, it's not a good pink - one of the colour guns was blown in the monitor. Everythign was pink. We called it El Pinko.
