I appear to be developing a cold / sore throat.

*loads up on vitamin C*

My Fans and Fan grills came today. Tested them on Fred, it's going to be a goddamn pleasure to have those quiet babies in Engima after the annoying high speed whine of the current high speed 80mm, I'll tell you that. To my pleasant surprise, the fans aren't as garish as they look in the advertising, its a very nice suble blue tinge emanating when they're running. Yeah, yeah, I can hear [livejournal.com profile] lordstorm screaming RIIIIIIIICE from here, but the plain fact is that with 25mm clearance, it was these ones or the aluminium evercools, and I know from experience those evercools tend to rattle a bit against a metal frame. I've managed to keep Enigma fairly quiet so far, its a trend I want to keep up :P

[livejournal.com profile] moonmip and I are planning to hit bunnings, so hopefully I'll be able to get the sheet metal, tin snips and holding plugs tomorrow. (and possibly a metal brake, or at least a good enough look at one to mock up the same principle) Then I can parp and build the fan enclosure. Pics shall be available of before and after when done :)

bit by bit, I'm creeping there, I'm creeping there.... Then that's the last of the needs must do modifications before summer heat hits, and I can concentrate on Christmas presents.
