Doing horribly girly things. Like buying outrageously fancy conditioner and shizz. I haven't had my hair this long in so long, I'd forgotten its natural tendency to ringlet. I'm curious, so I'm encouraging it. (Plus it frizzes like a hedgehog, hence the outrageously fancy conditioner and shampoo to try and cut down on the Chia Pet Effect) Fuck me, I'm even braiding it now it's got the length to do so.
Oh dear. Next thing you know, I'll be owning makeup. *shash*
In other idle banter, I was rereading At The Mountains of Madness by H.P Lovecraft. You know, given its relative position to McMurdo (mentioned in the novella) and the travel time and calculating for advances in travel technology....I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but the SGC Artic Base seen in Atlantis (and the original departure point for the city itself) would be roughly where the Citadel of the Elder Things was.....
Heh. Now that is seriously cool :D
EDIT: LJ and GY hath spoiled me. If I hand a cow-orker a slip of paper with explicit instructions (Uninstall product A, go to URL B, install product C) and they STOP TO ASK ME QUESTIONS when it falls outside the neat little parameters (eg: there's a sub-product of Product A installed as well) instead of, you know, applying some sort of common sense or capacity for recollection (LIKE WHEN I FUCKING WELL TOLD YOU TO RIP OUT ALL THE CISCO SOFTWARE, REGARDLESS OF NAME) , I wonder if they are idiots.
The sad thing is, I'm probably right. Being surrounded by intelligent professionals and decent techs spoils you for the mundane idiocy....
