Call it an LJ experiment, or maybe I'm just bored tonight, but....

The poor TARDIS doesn't sound too well.

That laughing scene? Ok, that made me fucking CRINGE. And I watched Time and the Rani without wincing.

Looks like the God Code from School Reunion on the wall there. And it's older than the TARDIS - which (by old school canon) is at least two thousand years old by Gallifreyan time - and most likely has databases stretching back several millenia earlier. Ok, that's old. But impossibly so? Fuck no. The Gallifreyans were not the first race, and timetravel notwithstanding, it's entirely bloody possible that the database holds no comparable entry for it. (and btw, if the TARDIS translates written words, then how come the runes in Curse of Fenric needed the Enigma machine?)

Fuckin' hell, they're getting lamer and lamer with the cliffhanger resolutions -_- That was just fucking pathetic.

"I got shot in the ARSE!" (sorry had to say it)

Well, DUH, they REALLY DON'T KNOW. How many times do you have to say it before you make the connection, dipshit? (I think I've been watching McKay too much...)

It's the EYE OF SAURON! And how the hell did Chavvy McChavstick recognise a black hole from a flaming eye? Stretching credibility more than a tad.

OK, pausing and wanking.

Given that the Time Lords were capable of stellar manipulation and creation of black holes - in fact, the Eye of Harmony was such a black hole - with block transfer computation holding it perpetually stable against the mass of Gallifrey...why does the Doctor find it so damned impossible? He's from an incredibly advanced civilisation, what the hell is wrong with acknowledging that fact once or twice across the damn series instead of giving us uselessly annoying "family" scenes? grr.

oo. Shades of Event Horizon :D Into the airlock with you, laddie!

Ahh. Planet in balance against the black hole. Are we going to see recognition of the technology, or at least the technique....?

..kinda.

Hmm. Looks like humans have stumbled across and adopted an older than shit engineered slave race.

666. Well there's the tie in to the satan planet...

"In the darkness...waiting..." Chief Dramatist seriously looks like he's headed for an Event Horizon death. $5 says he doesn't make it to the end of this ep without being posessed and/or killed :D

Ugh. wtf is with the gushy human love? He kisses their bums, then tells them casually to go home. What happened the good ol' Pertwee days of "Stop fucking with this shit, you idiot!"? Especially with the Inferno parallels with the drilling.

oh shit, there goes the TARDIS....

oh shit!

Now this feels more like who. "Stuff what you're doing, gimme my TARDIS back!" Damned nice, especially after the "oh, whoops! she's dead, oh well, I want a muffin" debacle of Rise of the Cybermen..

And why the HELL would they put the Doctor "In the laundry" - he worked out in thirty seconds what it took them two fucking years to calculate! You think they'd use a mathematician of that calibre somewhere a tad more useful, yes?

Oh crap. Cue mass invasion of shipper icons from screencaps of that hug. *twitch*

Bolero? 2001 much?

tobyyy.........jump in the airlock tobyyyyy

mm. Rose and her social dynamics again. Yay *eyeroll.* And did anyone else have the urge to say "Today's fish is Trout ala creme"?

Dude, that looked like the reaper out of Dungeon Keeper. Obviously after he's been at the horn curlers, but still...

Ah, here we go. The unspeakable evil is choosing its avatar! Or first victim.
Don't think of pink elephants.
Don't think of pink elephants.
Don't think of pink elephants.
Don't think of pink elephants....
d'oh!

oo, skull fragments? Looked like skull fragments. Resulting in body tatoos and possible conjunctivitis.

OLD SKOOL CANON POINT! YES! TARDISes are grown, not built. *happycanondances*

No. No fucking way. Do not go to the house talk. Kill me now. Please. Fucking kill me.

Cool. Satan has a mobile plan. I wonder how they charge call rates by the minute in the vicinity of a black hole where time is being warped?

ok, stray transmissions? That's what you pick up? And how the hell do these stray transmissions escape the pull of the black hole to fucking hit your equipment?

I think we just found out who the Ood were originally designed to serve....

HAHAHA, TOLD YOU HE'D END UP IN THE AIRLOCK!

Run, YOU DUMB BITCH!
too late...

For a base with so many airlocks, you think it would contain a hull breech far easier that this. It's segemented, with reminders like a friggin' submarine. And you know why submarines segment like that? TO CONTAIN BREACHES. bahhhh....

Those wrist comms look very blake's 7ish...

ok, so Scooty McScooter is the next avatar..or smeared all over the habitat roof.

ok, its smeared.

Well, should be, With no atmosphere, what's holding her there? The sheer force of the breach should have blown her out into space. If she's held in the same balance as the planet, that means the same gravitational force pinning the planet in place is pinning her significantly smaller body. By now she should be a thin paste smeared across the dome. And if she's floating off into space now, she'd be freaking spaghetti from the pull of the black hole!

oh god, here we go with the emo moment again...

Ironically, the capsule is rather TARDIS-shaped...

Very tolkien-esque architecture there. Love the "oh stfu' moment at the Doc.

Ah shit! they found the Stargate seal! Don't open it! Gou'auld! Gou'auld!

And now it gets good. Say bye bye to sanity!

mm. "Woven himself in the fabric of your life since the dawn of time" quick, grab the chess set! Fenric's back! Hmm *saves that idea for later ponderances*

nice music on the seal opening there. Doesn't quite suit, but I like it in and of itself.

ok, now that was a good cliffhanger. But dude..don't put the previews over the middle 8! You'll make baby leya cry!

Now to the set aside idea.... Curious curious curious. I wonder if the creature in the pit is one of the "elder gods" like Fenric (Hastur) or the Gods of Ragnarok.... Just seeing eerie parallels there. Interwoven in the fabric of time. Many mythological links. Pawns, in a game millenia old.....

Overall? Irreverent commentary aside, I liked it :D (and anyone who's sat down to watch a sci fi show with any member of my family will recognise the irreverent commentary) Finally - something with DECENT science and DECENT darkness behind it, rather than the kiddie shit we've been putting up with of late. Next weeks should be good *rubs hands eagerly*
