100m of piping, 48 hours, nine movies and the entire first season of The Sarah Conner Chonicles.
30 hammocks 12 foofertubes.
I would have had this done in a quarter of the time if he sewing machine hadn't declared war on me yesterday. Tensioner discs went tits up. When it wasn't snapping the thread, it was snarling and looping on the underside of the material. Which brought much swearing, realignment and undoing the worst of the damage. But still, work progressed. Then it snapped the needle (Which should NOT happen with a 110 needle and standard cotton thread) and buried its tip in my shoulder
-_-
I retreated to the park and had a lovely dinner and left it to sulk.
Today the new steel was in and I was taking no shit. So of course it resulted in even worse tensioning, more loops, and for every step I took forward it was three steps back. Boiling point reached.
I walked away, calmed down, then came back with a screwdriver and did a very bad thing that completely invalidated the warranty, but since then it has..well I wont' say it in case it jinxes me. But I'm hand stitching the hanging loops before giving them a run over on zigzag to reinforce and then wash and furry little maniacs the country over will relax in fleecy comfort.
The Sewing Machine forgot Rule #2
Do not fuck with the leyas
