For younger ladies, having a waist in inches the same as your age was the goal. Seventeen years old? That meant you would strive for a seventeen inch waist. Older ladies were allowed more leeway.

In other news, anyone know if the Indian word Killekyata would have assumed the generic usage as a descriptive for shadowplay rather than the ethnic group in the 19th century? This is oddly worrying at me.
