Yup, picked up the vid card.

Didn't go for the 9800SE - after talking it over with a mate at work who knows more about vid cards than I did, I went for the 9600XT Sapphire VIVO with 256mb DDR onboard.

So far, it hooks up to my TV. Haven't thrashed it out yet, but as long as I can play Emperor and DK, meesa happy :) New hardware for me, and new hardware for torasin! (I'm not plonking my old one in Meshuggah because a RadeonVE 7000 with TV-out would be fucking wasted in a Command Line-only webserver box.)

So, final components to get...the Mobo, and the Processor. And the HDDs for Meshuggah. *wriggles happily*

A slight disappointment though - PAnda don't have any Gigabyte GA7N400-PRO2 motherboards. Apparently they're phased out. Which is a cunt, because I wanted that one. Onboard IDE RAID and SATA, Firewire, gigabit LAN, 5.1 Surround Sound, all the trimmings.

*pouts*

Any recommend me a good one? Must be AMD XP series compliant (Not 64bit, I'm going for a 3000+ or a 3200+), with 4 IDE controllers, and SATA. I have...special needs :P

And the next Doctor Who Video came! *SQUEEE!* THANK YOU madscot!! :) Dalek on the massive flat screen in the loungeroom. I may just shit my pants :P I'll get cracking on the next set of DVDs for you...I might send them in two lots, I'm a little leery - we are, after all, committing an international crime here :P

I've got an old et6000 and acouple of old Rage64 cards.... or is that too retro. oh and a voodo 3dfx1 which can be run as a secondary under 2k with some rather dodgey beta drivers I found (not primary though)

whats the budget on the mother board BTW?

Oh yes, so you have!! That "confrontation" scene is I agree absolutely amazing, I've watched that on its own loads of times. Really excellent. Not only is Eccleston on fire in it, but I even reacted to the Dalek; when it's eye droops when it realises the enormity of being alone, I actually though "ahhh", and this is something that I've spent my childhood watching zipping around blasting people (Well, trundling maybe more than zipping ;o) ). That's what's great about this series, it has everything Doctor Who used to have but makes you react to it in such a different way!!

And don't get me started on OG and the thread on Empty Child..a couple of idiots decided that the gelth were back, and that was the reason for the gas masks - it stopped them being sucked into the atmosphere!

...WTF? it's pretty damned obvious that something's malfunctioned (either JacK's nanites, or the Tulac ambulance) and probably decided that Jamie's corpse is the proper template for the human race :P

Poor Jamie...I really feel for him. He's dead, but he doesn't even know it. There's not enough left of that little boy to even realise he's not human any more.
