What really hurts is when you contact them, several times, and finally they tell you they've had major life things going on - as if suddenly all those shoulders you gave them to cry on belonged to somebody else.
Came across the term 'foul weather friend' when I was trying to find an explanation as to why someone had done this to me, when I'd supported them through 3 of the roughest years of their life, only to have them piss on me when they were on the up.
