It doesn't help those words were used. "I don't care. I want you." For me, always, those six words have far outstripped "I love you." those three words are used too much, too crappily, thrown away too easily.
But the others? You're acknowledging everything that the other person thinks is wrong with them. Everything you think is wrong with yourself. Everything the rest of the world thinks is wrong with the two of you, and to HELL with all of them - this is right. This is what you need. And you're making that choice for yourself, by yourself, in full recognition of what it will cost you - and you make it gladly.
