Ended up rescuing a possum some FUCKHEAD had hit and abandoned.

'course after all that excitement and arranging taxis to vets and shelter et al, I'm not bloody tired, am I?

Yah, possum is good ^_^ In fact he (and most decidedly a he) decided he liked the smell of me for some reason. At the vets it took three technicians to get him out of my jacket (I'd wrapped him up in it - all I had, was walking home when I came across the poor bugger) he was clinging to it with all four clawslike mad. Then he got loose, bolted straight up my leg and clung to my hip, tail wrapped around my leg, hissing and spitting at everyone else.

Wish I'd had a camera!

(and thank CHRIST it was a ringtail. I'd still be bleeding if it was a bushytail)

Awwww....It was probably your pet rat smells on your jacket that made you much more friendly than evil vet antiseptic smells. He probaly want to go home with you and meet the girls ;-)

I don't mind them in the roof. I mean yeah, they scrabble and scritch, but so do my rats. At least they don't sound like a tribe of screeching clawing howling baboons stuck in the eaves like friggin' bushytails do...

We used to have them all the time in our old house, but now we have a three storey house, so it's kinda hard. We had bees living in the wall though.
