WTF?

Ok, when I was about 17/18, my wisdom teeth came out. No problems, no dental visits required, just a little bit of tenderness and the urge to chew madly on things to break the gum. I've always assumed that's it because I literally have no more tooth space up the top (they go back right to the upwards curve of the gumline) and the bottom is nice and neat. Plus, y'know, four of 'em

....Now I seem to have another one coming out, back right.

WTF?

How many wisdom teeth are you supposed to have??

see, I never had x-rays. Mine came out naturally (by came out I mean through the gum) and they're still in my mouth. Never gave me any problems whatsoever.

aich. I never had any problems with mine. At all. They're still in my mouth - they came through the gum, all was good, and that was all she wrote.

I had a similar experience to you with regard to them coming through. I only have the four, although the nerves are a bit weird. I've had a bone splinter come through the gum before - could it maybe just a little bit of bone coming through rather than an entire tooth?

I think it's a tooth though - the top of the gum is starting to split and I was poking it. Definitely feels like a crown in there.

Owie..it was painful enough having the four come through without any extras making an appearance.
