Hit up southland for a much-needed haircut and some duds for work. I got about a meter chopped off and back to the fashionable dike style. Much to the consternation of the hairdresser. "No, shorter. " "How's that?" "Shorter". Mildly terrified them since I went in with long hair and came out with damn near a no. 4 but I'm jack with long hair now and back to the shortness. And because it's so thick there were obscene piles all over the floor. It ate HALF THE SALON. (Seriously, one worker came back from her lunchbreak while I was settling the bill and just stood there going "what....what the fuck happened?") Dear god, I do not envy the person who had to sweep all that up.

Snagged moar pants, nosed about electronics stores and found floor standing lava lamps. So I immediately rang up torasin and asked what colour. We are so 70's porno it's not funny :D Also scored the DVDs of Gigantour and The Making of Dark Side of the Moon for $20 all up. *schwee*


In short, I have shopped, I have hair chopped and I BOUGHT A FUCKING HAT. The hat alone increases my awesomeness tenfold. Of course the fucking about today did mean I didn't get a single bloody thing done today that I intended (apart from the hair and pants) so I will have to cram it all in tomorrow. BUT I WILL BE WEARING MY FUCKING AWESOME HAT WHILE DOING SO.

UGH I cut my hair for the first time about four years ago? Went from ass-length to shoulder length. You could've knitted a sweater from all that hair... And then a year later I cut it totally short and got the shock of my life. Positive one, admittedly, I think I look much better with short hair.

I went from mid-back (longer than this icon) to shortyshortshort. Which is what I tend to have it anyway. Thankfully I look alright long or short, and it grows like a fucking yeti so it's no biggie to me.
