On LiveJournal, we often think we're close, but really, we know less about each other than we like to think.

So I want you to ask me something you would like to know about me, something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about, or something you've always been curious about but have never asked, or something completely silly that you'd like me to answer for kicks.

No limits on the range of questions, either: ask me anything you want to know about, whether it's a fannish opinion or trivia about my real life or my thoughts on events in the offline world.

1) Do you consider yourself a BNF? What do you think that word means?

2) What's your ultimate comfort food?

3) What is it about Doctor Who that you love? How would you describe it to someone who's never seen it before?

1) BNF - Big Name Fan. Someone who's just noiceable enough for people to go cray cray and start attacking :P

In the mem? unfortunately yes, just by the virtue of being a mod. ffffuuuuuu...

2) I don't tend to turn to food for comfort. But I am an absolute crackmonkey for beef 2min noodles

3) You are asking me to summarise a lifetime of love and obsession. JFC woman.

Here. Have a video instead,

And I reallly don't need to explain it to people who haven't heard of it before because it's as recognisable as Trek :P

Yes, I was asking for an essay on #3. I like hearing about why people are passionate about certain things like the A-team, Who, Holmes, etc. It's fun learning about that.

In other words, I like hearing about what gets people hard.

The impossible becomes possible. Someone with the actual balls to stand up and do what's right, what needs to be done, no matter what the personal cost. Unlimited adventure, breaking the bounds of time itself. There is always a better way. always. And it's clever and witty and heartbreaking and cheesy and everything I like and it was a single escape and friend for a very lonely socially abused child.

Next question?

That's a great way to describe it. I wonder if the hardcore Doctor Who fans I know fell into it because their parents also loved the hell out of it (one of my friends' mom is well known at the Chicago convention here and my BFF remembers watching with her granny late at night as a kid).

I might have to ask them why they like it also, just to get their perspective.

Next question? BNF. That's a weird one for me. I mean, I don't see myself as a BNF simply because I mod with you and write a lot. But a friend asked me that once and I was like "I have no idea."

I guess I see myself as someone who wants to keep a community going and who is too lazy to anon at times when she writes. But admittedly when I see "BNF" I often associate it with people like Cassie Claire or others who are willing to create drama. But as of late, I tend to fly below the radar for a lot of things in life.

1. Favorite drug?
2. Favorite sexual position?
3. Who would you want to be with in a totally hypothetical threeway?

Sorry, I just got out of a frustrating day at work. Guess what's on my mind?

If you could write an episode for Dr Who (incarnation of your choice), what would be the plotline?

Arghh not a good morning for brainwork.

Something plotty and clever, But then again I can't do plotty and clever to save my life, so this is why I am not in television

:P

In general, do you actually like living in Australia or would you prefer to live somewhere else if there were no obstacles in the way of moving there?

I love melbourne. Hands down. I love its culture, the wonderful mix of give-a-fuck with the wild and varied mish mash, I love the architecture, the fact that it's massively gardened, the pokey suburbs and the posh tossers. I love the fact we have a working social system that takes care of its own, I love the heat, the cold, the wet, the fact you get all four seasons in a half-hour span, the sheer food variety, and the funny little shops everywhere.

Wouldn't move for the world.
