....not sure if want.
I really think that would have benefited from being a two parter. It had such promising Remembrance vibes, but kinda went a bit muddled and left a bit empty (and did anyone else see shades of Katherine from Fenric in there?)
BUT DUDE. IMPERIAL DALEKS. w00t w00t MOTHERFUCKER!! Anyone else scream that when the white fucker glided out? No? Just me? :P Although I am waiting for some new series fan to go LOL FAG COLOURS in which case I have a wide collection of 60's colour stills I shall beat them viciously with. And I must admit I went "Oh SHIT!" in that sorta half-disbelieving voice when they broke the blackout. BROKE, THE FUCKING. BLACKOUT. IN THE BLITZ. Bastards.
Oddly enough, the theme of Humans Rescuing Humans isn't grating so much this season. I suppose it's because we've had THE ALMIGHTY DOCTAAAAR shoved down our faces for so feckin' long by RTD that it's actually become a refreshing change rather than a complete Sue. But it's starting to get there a bit, so reign it back, moff. And I'm sorry, but that guy doing Churchill was just so OT he was frankly unbelievable. Although it was rather good putting that question to the Doctor after The Beast Below - it actually added an element of uncertainty, knowing how much he loathed humans on occasion to put the human race on one side, and the rest of the universe on the other (although they very carefully avoided going that far and kept it more as a vendetta)
The listen meme is very much starting to spread through now. But which words are the ones that are breaking the universe? hmmm. I wouldn't be surprised actually if there wasn't a gambit within a gambit and you find out that humanity itself is causing the cracks. LOOK AT US! WE'RE SO GREAT! AND WE'VE BUTTFUCKED REALITY! BWAHAHAA!
Then again, it could just be Moff's more optimistic approach against RTD's seeming loathing of humanity as a whole that's making me expect that :P
